I didn't actually see the impact...but the damage is quite strange, because there are gashes on the bottom near the tire wall as well.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06508239759383689491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22011692.post-37694117393850060442009-03-01T08:25:00.000-06:002009-03-01T08:25:00.000-06:00I can't believe the plastic casing around the ligh...I can't believe the plastic casing around the light is intact. What kind of vehicle hit your car? Was it a pick up truck?Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12316589052856591531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22011692.post-16273789648549055932009-02-28T22:58:00.000-06:002009-02-28T22:58:00.000-06:00Ha! It's not like replacing an electrical component or anything...it's pushing the metal back into place. I guess the hard part is making it look like there was never any trauma...

I'm curious about the paint. My car has a (slightly) unusual color. I guess it's a GM so they should have all their colors...anyway, I'm interested in seeing this "free rental car."

Yikes. What is that thing gonna look like (and yes, I'm going to eat, smoke, and have sex in it--why? BECAUSE I CAN).Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06508239759383689491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22011692.post-30275340626778600522009-02-28T21:05:00.000-06:002009-02-28T21:05:00.000-06:00That's what they were estimating mine would cost. ...That's what they were estimating mine would cost. The perpetrator wanted to pay a portion of this, but I thought if we repaint the one repaired fender, the rest of the ten year old car would have looked cruddy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22011692.post-11089270052244106092009-02-28T17:01:00.000-06:002009-02-28T17:01:00.000-06:00Wow. I bet if I let her, Leah would take a rubber mallet to my car...but luckily the d-bag that hit my car has insurance and doesn't mind that I go through them to fix it.

Anyone want to guess how much it'll "cost" to fix? I'm guessing it's around $900.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06508239759383689491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22011692.post-22306959371485826412009-02-28T16:29:00.000-06:002009-02-28T16:29:00.000-06:00Ouch! I decided to file a report with campus security...it took them a month, but they figured out who did it...another emotionally distracted faculty member. Because I was somewhat familiar with the faculty member's emotional distractions, and sympathized, because I've been there myself, Keith pounded the dent out with a rubber mallet. It doesn't look like new, but it'll do and in the end, it made my former boss "cry" because he didn't have to fork over a huge pile of dough.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
