Back in STL, and very tired

After a long holiday weekend, I'm back home in St. Louis.



I am so tired. Too tired to blog.

Did I mention I love Dinosaurs???

Last weekend I saw some Dinosaurs...big ones. I sometimes wish I'd followed through with my childhood dream and studied paleontology. There's not real money in that, but then again...there isn't much money in English either. Anyway, dinosaurs have always stoked the fires of my imagination (like they have for countless millions of people).

Why do we love them? Is it because they're "real" monsters? Is it because they come from a fantastic, primordial world (a world very alien to our own)?

I don't know. I only know that I love them and I always will.

The most fun I ever had writing, was "Sea Change." I wrote it in the dorms in a spiral notebook in between classes...I miss those days.



Re-reading "Sea Change," I feel compelled to point out that I was very much drug-free.

It's muddled, and weird for the sake of being weird...but damn was it fun to write.
