Nothing I can talk about in public, but I got good noises about my novel project today. Outside of that, I'm working this weekend, which sucks ass.I really need to either find another job or quit this one.Respects,MurphNorthtown, Missouri
Ugh. I'm glad someone's writing is (possibly, even if we can't talk about it) going somewhere. I got home and had a sort of rejection letter waiting from me (can't use my story because of a heavy back-log).Anyway, good luck on the job front. I know what a beeatch that part of life can be.
Rejection letters are part of the deal and I know they suck, man. Worse comes to worst, get thee a railroad spike and impale them on that. That is what Stephen King did. Then again, I would not follow King's other examples, such as heavy alcohol consumption or the cocaine.Respects,MurphSomewhere in Kansas
I've only gotten 3 letters back, and none of them were straight out "this isn't for us" or "your writing is bad" rejections. It's frustrating because they've all been "we have too much to read so we're taking a pass" (i.e. they never even read it). Very annoying. No booze or coke? WTF Murph?
