When I got to work yesterday, my boss was basically like "Don't come to work tomorrow, school will be closed."
I didn't buy it. Frankly, I've been burned too much. As a kid, my Dad would watch the
Weather Channel and hear a dire weather prediction--then tell my sister and I that school was "going to be closed tomorrow, for sure." I'd get excited...NOT do my homework...and stay-up late. Next day, guess what? School would be open. And why wouldn't it be? After all it hadn't snowed at all overnight...
Anyway, I woke up to a blizzard-y winter wonderland. The snow has shocked the hell out of me. TWO DAYS AGO I WAS IN SHORTS!!! What the hell?
Oh well. My boss called about an hour ago and told me the building is closed tonight. So that means I get the night off (paid of course). How sweet it is (sorta).

Jason,
Lindsey says she wished we had all of that snow here!
Not me!
Love,
Mom
Yeah...I seriously hope it melts by 2:30pm tomorrow. I hate messing around on the road with THAT much snow on the ground (I heard we got somewhere near 9 inches!).
One disadvantage of living in Australia - no snow days .... ever (sigh). If I lived down the hill and across the river I would get flooded in a few days a year but ... well I don't and it is just as easy to get flooded out as in.
Just count me as jealous :-)
Don't be too jealous...I'm going to spend 30 minutes tomorrow un-burying my car.
My hands are cold and sore just thinking about it.
well that's the down side, on the upside, you have a day all warm and snuggly at home and because it is a bonus day, no housework is allowed so there is playing on the computer, daytime television, eating leftovers and living in your pjs!
Love your dog...I cant imagine having mine in the snow...she is a beach bunny...love the concept of having a day off just because it snows....
The dog freakin' LOVES to run in the snow. It's weird...like he's a little kid.
