Experimental/Somewhat Funny...Friday Video Blog

Well I broke down and bought QuickTime this week...so now I can edit my videos. Unfortunately, there is a bit of learning that must be done before I'm "ready for prime-time."

So, with that in mind...

I have no idea why the first few seconds are so wonky...luckily it clears up.

I liked the "sleepy-time" jason in the blue shirt doing the silly dance the best.

The wonkiness comes from the compression. In order to save space, it only stores a few full frames, and in between, it stores the changes since the last frame. So if there's, say, a pot full of flowrs in the video, and they don't move, their data only gets recorded once or twice, and the people in front who are moving get updated more often.

You were missing a full frame at the beginning.

Oh, and yaaaay friday video blog!

Even if it takes a page from the golden girls!

Okay, so you know WHY it was wonky...what can I do so it doesn't happen again?

Yeah...me neither. Oh well...oh hey, I called you yesterday (or the day before) what gives?

Yea! You got Quick Time, it's a whole new world, right? Great first video editing. My favorite clip is also the segway and the teeter-toter. Hope you're having a great weekend! Say hi to Amber!

Mom

Humm...what where you thinking in making this? I watch this and wonder, a cross between the you I knew and Lennon, for those who play the blog game(which I do not, for I am old and don't understand) I enjoyed. I was amazed at what I saw! When down and blue, and tired of the norm,(the message it sends) play the "no one does it better", 3/14 clip , smile and you will see, that no one does it better, what a help for so many people, to esccape and enjoy, and think what was and what is, talking about helping people out, you find it in the strangest places, one does.
Were any animals harmed in the making of this clip? Oh hell, I give it one thumb up (if I gave it it two, it might go to your head, but where was your head at?) What kind of mind comes up with this? Some things DO stand the test of time, refreshing, in this day and age something totally new and different! Unique, the "DO"

Yea me at age 47, I blogged tonight for the first time! Is that what they call this? Watch out world the "DO" is on line thanks lime monkey you opened the world to me, sorry world, blame the lime monkey!

Wow, thanks for the kind words. Who are you anonymous???

By the way, that took me FOREVER to put together, so thank you all for watching it.

Like I told Dave on the phone last night, I didn't have as many of my older videos...so at the end I had to use some "filler" but the first minute and a half is pure gold (the blue-shirt dance I filmed the morning I put it together when I realized I didn't have very many of my old files).

What will this new technology bring to the Friday Video Blog? Only time will tell...

(Probably nothing)

Nice to see Uniguard's segway has been put to good use on the Internet. :)

Excellent video.

I seriously do miss that thing...if I won the lotto I'd pick one up (and use the fast key, the one they never let us use). It was so much fun.

I complained about that job, but it let me do some pretty cool stuff I'd never get to do otherwise (like ride a fuckin' Segway).

I guess that's how life is, isn't it???
