An interesting article (from a mainstream news site) about 1-18-08/Cloverfield. Apparently the "Slusho" website is loaded with clues...also, check out the slightly spolier-is bits at the end of the article (concerning the creature):

Also, Ain't It Cool News is reporting that the film will open with rescue/clean-up workers finding a camera in the debris of NYC. They push play on it, and then the audience gets a feature length version of the trailer. Sounds a bit BLAIR WITCH to me...but the realism of the trailer was compelling.

Jordan--welcome to the Limemonkey blog!!! I can't believe how wrapped up in this thing I (and many others) have become. I posted a link to the story. See the last two paragraphs.
AICN.com is not a "mainstream" media/news site...and they have been wrong about stuff before...that said they do get a TON of stuff right (really really early).
I predict that we'll have a grainy/blurry shot of whatever this creature is in a couple of months.
