Snow Day (Who Knew?)

Well I'm home, but I should be at work.

It started snowing about an hour before I had to go into work, and it didn't stop. I didn't think the roads were that bad, but somebody in charge thought they were (or were going to get bad) so they closed the campus at 5:00. At first I was a little pissed, after all--I need all the money I can get right now. But my boss said that I would be paid the full 7 hours (even though I only worked 2).

So there you go, there is something nice about my job after all.

Frankly though, it really sucked closing early. With the cold/snow there weren't very many people in the building--only the hardcore "gym rats." You know the type--scrawny, bulky armed girls. Squat, barrel chested, and overly tanned men. They were PISSED that we were closing early. "What the fuck am I supposed to do? I have a routine!!!"

Great. Wonderful. A routine. Anyway, closing early sucked because I had to deal with that sort of crazy (there are many types of crazy)...however, it's actually really good because it gives me an extra long break from the place (tomorrow being my day off). Long weekend! Alright!!!

That's what I said. When they told I was still getting paid, I was like "Let it snow! Let it snow!"

What a world we live in.

Now, see, these are the "kind of crazies" that could make a podcast interesting. Sometimes, when people think they are being interviewed, they grow very expansive in their talk.

You could think of it as collecting characters...

Actually, this gym might make a very good setting for a novel--that reveals all kinds of American types. You could use it to critique American culture.

See, I'm really disappointed at the lack of material this place has thus generated. But, then again, I never seem to know I'm getting material until much later. So I could be wrong.
